No unconess * today.
No idea what loofy was trying to suggest yesterday but I didn't need to change anything.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Maroubra. 2-3 foot. Washy mix of dying south swell and sorta building north east swell. Semi clean and still a few ok peaks. Gonna swap the board back to running a straight single fin as it’s looser and faster and just run a 2+1 on days where it’s big and backless and want the extra bite and drive

That's the correct way to 2+1Hatchnam wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 11:29 amMaroubra. 2-3 foot. Washy mix of dying south swell and sorta building north east swell. Semi clean and still a few ok peaks. Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yeah I learnt that quick. Aside from bonzers I’ve never done much with 2+1 set up.
2+1 cons
- reduced take off speed and overall speed
- more limited in setting your line
- stiffer
2+1 pros
- more bite on bottom turns, mid face, and under the lip
- more acceleration rail to rail
- more projection and distance covered through carves
Overall I prefer the feel of a straight single.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
The triple overhead swell has not materialised yet, just irregular doubles
Best bit though was a shoulder to should sprint paddle and duck dive under a set wave with a huge dugong

Took an early mark. Super fun, chest -high sheet glass peaks with minimal crew. Plenty to go around. Nice end to the week. Think I’ll have a beer.

Yeah the water is pretty fresh, but the shower at the beach gave me an ice cream headache.

Yeah well literally fifteen years ago I was only riding thrusters 100% of the time. But hey, congrats all the same.
However, the irony of your chest beating statement is there are English migrant adult learners out there who have an understanding of how prevailing conditions interact with the surrounding coastline.
Now laughably contrast that with a 60 year old who’s apparently been surfing for over 40 years, although remains literally clueless.

Just a few triple overheads yesterday afternoon. Trippy conditions though, glass with a gentle offshore breeze, a mate and I sharing a peak.

I don't think it's fair though to describe Loofs like that.
