Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yes, sadly I'm always around on RealSurf these days - a landlocked househusband for now. What is one to do? The question occurs to me every day. But things could be worse! I can't complain. A shred of dignity can still be found in it, some vague sense of purpose, even a flash of joy and wonder. You have to laugh. One day I will surf again. And it's good to hear from you, Laz - why, next time I'm in Australia I just might look you up!

Black Kenyan Canadians are more prevalent here than parking spots for Beans.

South Maroubra. It was just breaking just Wales. but warm and uncrowded.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
South Maroubra. 3-4 foot, with enough shape and punch to keep things interesting.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Bumpy NBs on the high tide - pretty average

South Maroubra again for the late arvo session. A slightly muscled up version of yesterday surf. Only a handful of people out . plenty of waves to go around.
As I was first paddling out I had to rescue a Pommy booger stuck in the rip. He was waving for help saying he’s been paddling for half an hour trying to get in.
Didn’t have to do much. all I told him was to paddle at a right angle straight into the bank. then after a few seconds he was right

Me too.
Supposed to be onshore dribble but was gentle offshore and short period, peaky waves which ran a lot further than expected.
In and hour and a half I caught every wave I paddled for.
One guy paddled past me and said, "Trev. Just STOP IT!"
But he was smiling.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Good stuff, Trev. Only downer was paddling a bit further out and realising there was a pool of poo out there. Must have come from a boat. Reminded me of the Bondi of old. Fcuk it used to be putrid. Literally condoms and toilet paper floating around out there on a bad day in a NEster. Water would be brown.

Yes, I was, Al. Living at Nth Bondi still at that stage I think. Friends lived around the corner in Hastings Parade. You could look over their back fence to the ocean where the sewerage pipe came out. Always lots of birds and fish swarming around the plume. Also quite often a trawler catching the fish. Didn’t eat fish much in those days.
Few things have effected property prices more dramatically in Australia than moving the sewerage pipes 7 klms offshore at Bondi.

Again bumpy NE swell under overcast skies - at least warm water.
