Re: Where did you surf today ?
Why thank you foamy. That tree trunk seems to have a magic attraction for me - and for many others as well, I gather from the activity often surrounding it. Over the past week I have taken a hundred photos with it in the frame, however this is one of the very few with decent waves in the background. Mostly the surf is utter dribble.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Here's one from early afternoon yesterday. Isn't that tree trunk something.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
It's got me stumped why it's in the middle of the beach.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Stump is the word I was looking for - I knew trunk didn't quite cut it but my mind went blank.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Glad to be of assistance, Al.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
It’s pretty fast and pitchy but totally makable at North Avoca and around 4/5ft. Gonna have to rock hop. Fark.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Still pretty small, 4ft. But looks like it’s getting better as the tide drops. Hope the southerly holds off a while...

If you are expecting us to get flogged, then yes, can confirm I got flogged.Nick Carroll wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 8:26 amwell here she comes, rising from the east, not big yet but thicker and grindier.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Parking was good............but just watched (know my limits). Manly was big up near the middle with a couple of guys on it. Bower was crowded with a guy sitting at Deadmans but not catching anything.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I would have thought the swell is too east for Deadies to have much today?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Had a look around. Bronte and Tama were big and bumpy. Bondi smaller and racy lefts up near the flags but sectiony and starting to get blown out. Pretty fcuking ordinary with the tide dropping and swell rising. I had thought about a jaunt to The Bower....its been a while but figured it would be crowded....then the SE Wind hit and I went for a run on the beach.

Yesterday was pumping around MR but so was the wind, offshore but way too strong, same again today, supposed to ease a bit later.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
The last two days. Have been a couple of my best surf's for a while.
5 surfs in last 6 days.
But the last two had more consistent good rides than I can remember for ages.
Yesterday a bit big for me at my local and crowded to buggery.
So I lucked into that "secret" left nearby with head high, steep take offs and longer walls than usual for that spot.
Then today, back at my local.
Must be surf everywhere because even at the end of a two hour session, there were still only a dozen or so spread out.
Every wave ran through to the beach without its usual flat section mid way.
Had to laugh.
There's a big Maori guy surf's there regularly. He's a member of the Mal club.
He's a chippie and I know he lives at North Lakes on the outskirts of Brisbane.
Said he came up for a quick session before work.
Asked him where he works and he said South Brisbane.
Anyone who knows SE Qld will understand what I'm saying here.
North Lakes to Caloundra. An hour's surf then join the traffic all the way down the Bruce Highway and across Brisbane to the South Bank area.
Think he might have been late.
