Placement of the pad probably explains why they were selling.

Bonzer 5 decal but it’s a bonzer 3
Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over
Can only surmise the fin guy started on a 5, the boss walks in halfway and says the guy wanted a 3 ?

I imagine it would take the smaller keels. Might be bespoke keels on it in the pics.

Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over
Having played around with a bonzer (Biscuit) and a few other 2+1s and I'm now of the opinion that the bonzers are basically 2+1s.
I've also concluded that I really like the 2+1 configuration with around a 7" centre and 5" sides for any length of board. That gives them almost a thruster like turn capability but with the beautiful down-the-line speed of a single.
I'd now always choose a 2+1 or 4+1 configuration if possible.

Huh? On Bonzer vs. 2+1. A bonzer should provide more stability and speed in critical situations.
5 inch sides. Quite large for a 2+1, cant imagine it would turn too sharply. Maybe that’s the idea. Drivey I guess. Maybe that’s why they feel similar. Your sides are way too big on the 2+1. 4 inches is large and even then you’d probably want a 6 1/2 inch centre with sides that large.
Each is to their own.

Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over
After a lot of trial and error its the 5" sides and 6" to 7" centre that works for me - turns more like a thruster but has significantly better drive down-the-line.Thud wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 2:04 pmHuh? On Bonzer vs. 2+1. A bonzer should provide more stability and speed in critical situations.

Purcho has 6 1/2 centres and 4 1/4 or 3.75 sides. I’ve spoken to him about these sizes.
Reckon you’re sides are too big for the 7

It's fine for the waves around here, I may need less fin area in Bali in bigger faster waves.
By the way, the side fin area in my 5 fin Bonzer is probably the equivalent of a single 6"+ side fin.
