Re: Where did you surf today ?
I kind of had this feeling that it was coming to check me out - there was definite interest, I reacted very slowly and calmly, I didn't want to provoke any predatory reaction.
I felt zero fear or panic - no adrenalin or increased heart rate- so I guess, yes.
But fcuk, it was a big shark.
Its been spotted a bit now cruising the point.
Apparently a local bloke has some drone footy of it checking people out and is going to show it soon publicly.

Yeah, good response Steve... the old adage: if you act like prey you're way more likely to get treated like prey

How was it?
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Surfed Pacifica this afternoon on the Christenson ultra tracker.
Was definitely a great way to end the week but I am starting to think I'll move the board on. On a steep face it's a scalpel but it is too refined for fuller waves and flat spots.
I wore the 3mm yammie because it was relatively balmy, 14 in the air and the water. Just so much more pleasant than the 4/3 hooded thing that I use on cold days.

Did 3 laps of a beach.
Shifty lefts with the odd sneaky right.
Was about a 6-800m drift each time I think.
I tried my 6’2 as a quad as I had those EAs from the pyzel.
Actually made it faster and looser.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I didn't' surf this morning- not cause I was rattled by the shark encounter, just looked a bit too busy for what it was.
I'd had a few days off last week and felt so much fresher and more mobile yesterday.
Think I've been surfing too much this summer.
I was wearing orange boardies yesterday (normally wear camo) wondering if that orange colour may have attracted that tiger shark to come in for a closer look?

South Bondi. Nabbed a park near the entrance. Fun peaky take off with a fast section to follow. A lot closed out on the shallow sandbank. Packed on the beach.

Do you have to pay for parking, Beanpole, or by virtue of living in the neighborhood do you get a free pass?

Residential Parking for the beach coasts a bit over $100 for the first car then it goes up for extra cars. It’s about $8 an hour so it’s worth it. $127 with concession $170 without.

Didn’t it used to be free, Beans? Maybe a nominal fee of $30 or something.
