Looks insane. Thanks, that's a good insight. I'm gonna come visit you next time you are there mate!
Yeah sure. Could probably get you accommodation nearby, and a scooter.
I spoke to a friend a few days ago who stays next door but one to me, he says my room is there waiting for me. Jake McKenzie (Drifta Surf Shops) is on the other side of the gang. Its a quiet little community of dedicated surfers, most still there now surfing their tits off and wondering why the fcuk I'm not there.
MM spent a few weeks there with me a while ago.

Oh, and you can go and jam with Banksy at his restaurant The Mango Tree at Padang, Wednesday night was open to all comers, there's a pretty good stage upstairs: or discuss guitars and amps, he hand builds them, he's more into that than surfing.

Oh yeah, just don't mention vaccines, MSM, global warming, Trump, etc, etc. Jim's done his research. But that aside, he's a wonderful guy.

How did that work out for you? I’m guessing mullet’s personal habits leave an awful lot to be desired

That would make it even easier because (generic) you'd likely never have been friends with crazy in the first place.

Au contraire ol’ chap, not for me to say but I believe my behaviour was acceptable. There was that one time in Perth however when I was to meet up with Cranked for a bike ride up in the hills when I became disorientated and ended up in the wrong town which resulted in all kinds of hilarity but it all ended well.

The one with the swimming pool or one of the myriad other ones that dot the landscape these days. Lucky Al would be in for quite a shock if he hasn’t seen the Bukit for Twenty Years.

Was just remembering some things that happened there 20 years ago. One day in September my Californian mate who lived on the Bukit picked me up at my place in Kuta and we headed east to a spot he wouldn't tell me the name of until we got there. On the highway just out of Sanur we stopped at a traffic light and a newspaper boy came up to the car waving a Jakarta Post with the World Trade Center towers on the front page. We went surfing that day and came back in the evening to the news playing on all the TVs in the Kuta shops and restaurants.

My last surf at Ulus was pretty crap. I’ve only surfed it about four times since 1989. Watching SOB I established that every other time I surfed it it happened to be breaking from that section which has a fairly mellow take off before hitting the racetrack section. Last time it was breaking further around and pitching a lot more. Plus it was crowded. Lucky Cranky wasn’t there to watch.
