Re: Where did you surf today ?
Hopefully this big Sth swell can clear the ballina bar out and we can have a bit of a reset.
Nth Wall has had about 5 decent days in the last 18 months to 2 years and they weren't even special.
Need it back to take the crowds away from all the other breaks I used to get mostly empty.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
There was a guy out at Tama yesterday on what looked like about 11’ mal. He got a couple of big ones. Fun banks. It’s good it eases off before the rocks at the moment. I was tempted to go out but after today’s flogging I’m glad I didn’t. Even on Monday it was a pain paddling back out at half the size.Drailed wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 8:09 pmI surfed Tama, was decent size but not gnarly. Didnt have a great session, hard to get in position but got a couple nice ones. Planets just aligned for me today.Nick Carroll wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 7:00 pmseriously did you guys all just walk past Tuesday like it didn't happen
Bronte was not working at all when I checked it about 9ish.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Went back out against my better judgement today. However a lighter crowd and a more thoughtful strategy allowed for a much more satisfying surf. Culminating in catching the white water off a big one from outside. Hit the reef and bowled out. Then it walled up fast along the Shorey right down the beach with some size. I chanced the last section but had pushed my luck a bit too far and got smashed in a couple of inches of water. Stoked.

More crowded today but did snare one good set wave which all the longboarders missed due to them being halfway to NZ.

Hopefully it’s gonna be on for the early tomorrow. I’m keen for a moonlight sonata

The stupor bank.
So fun.
A few little corners you can get away from where the masses are sitting.

My local was crowded early and a bit too heavy for me so 4 of us scored around the other side of the headland.
Just 4 of us.
Just 4 of us.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Watched a drone clip of Kirra. The number of drop ins was shocking. Four guys taking off together on one wave. Quite a few of some guy getting barrelled behind another drop in.

Bronte was wild and woolly this morning. Really south swell and for some reason two guys way out. One guy sitting half way to Tama. He looked like he was going to get stuck when he finally made one.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yesterday some well overhead reef action south of the gong. Wonky with the strong cross-shore but still had some shape. Today south maroubra with some four foot plus peaks
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Crikey, it was fcuking PUMPING down at the point this morning. Easy 8ft sets, loads of power. Saw a few epic drops, caught a few smaller ones that ran all the way to the beach. Stoked!

I haven’t seen it break right through for quite a while. Got my leg rope stuck in the rock shelf in there near the beach one time. Sounds great.

Again my southern corner and heaps of crowd - sat inside and got a few. Big big further up the beach.

Had a bash on the foamy. Bit of fun in the corner in between thumping closeouts. Swell is dropping quick.

Don't know about that, on my drive home it was still solid 5ft + and firing. Can hear it shaking the ground right now!
