Packed at Crescent Head. Hard to get a wave and the water is iffy. Half the road in is one lane due to flood damage.

Beans, given your close enough to retirement age, why do you go during school holidays? Surely if you went 2 weeks later or last week the crowd would be half?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Time and tide wait for no man, Channels. I agree completely in theory but I have been trying to do this now for over a year. Not going to Crescent but catching up with friends back up home. Started seriously organising about three weeks ago and since then we have had flooding, Covit lock down, Easter and more flooding.
Plenty of swell. Considering I got about the best wave I have had out there on that particular board I’m not complaining.

Pumping a bit further up the coast from BP.
Had a couple of long, long rights all the way to the beach and the tide is still not quite right. Gonna go off!!

Bigger today on NB's but just not the same quality for me as earlier in the week.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Surfed irregular 1' to 2' waves. This is what my surfing life has descended to. Put a star fin in my 6'10 Beau Young Wombat... wow, amazingly fast and loose!

Re: Where did you surf today ?
More good waves this arvo. Think everyone was scared off by the wi d or lack of waves this morning.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Wow. Got back from my mid north coast jaunt to find a nearby reef/sand spot orf it's head.
4ft+ and peaks everywhere.
Best surf of the trip!

Again on the NBs - crowds up but still a few good ones.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Wyre..i wonder if the place you described up the coast and down home both started with S. A mate had good waves up there over Easter and my bro is a regular opp The Waves home ground...
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Half right- Scotch Egg was indeed where I stayed. The down home spot is a special place that doesn't always have a wave - unreal punchy, heavy peaks until these big south swells take the sand away...
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Banks are cooked around here.
Ruining good conditions and swells the last few days.
I had to venture up Steve’s hood yesterday and managed to snag great waves at an outer bank beachie by myself connecting all the way to the inside which was a surprise for school hols.
Hopefully this S swell sorts some sand out around here though.
