All good but the Canuckas story needs some kind of resolution. Kind of just hangs there, like a skimpy thong drying on a deck railing.
Re: Mentawai quiver.

What were the average crowd size like?

Far out. Never been able to conceptualise drinking and surfing. Plus beers for breakfast is way out of my frame of reference. Sounds like you scored though.

Re: Mentawai quiver.
haha, I mean I saw that attempted.
The gals were pretty feisty. "Didn't you see me bro?"
I couldn't bring myself to do it....was happier calling them into waves.
It was a frustration giving the benefit of the doubt to kooks on prime set waves but I got heaps.
Loof, biggest crowds were 15-20, average probably 6-15. I had no drama with the crowds.
Foamy, would love to....but I got kids. Dad getting shacked has to be put back in the box now. I've had so much surf, it's been a ridiculous indulgence.

Fun, rippable, challenging, occasionally hollow, flawed.

Re: Mentawai quiver.
When we surfed scarecrows it was really fun but kinda wonky with a shifty take off. Telescopes was breaking much better but was crowded and didn’t seem to be picking up as much swell.
Hideaways is an epic lefthander. Bulbous with that dreamy sloping wall that peels off all the way into the channel.
Thunders seemed to pack the most punch.
Steve’s review of aggressive adult euro learners has ruled out any chance of me wanting to revisit. Fking Christ

I'm surprised people took it as a negative.
