Fairdinkum the water here is horrible. Black. Mouth full today. There isn't even a salty taste. Bitter. Yuck.

Great little bank with no crowd plus warm water again.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I watched this young guy trying to ride said type board featured in Ding Alley (long twiny). Man he just couldn't come to grips with it, front side even. He was trying to ride it like a thruster with back foot overuse, limited rail etc and the back end of the board kept screaming " ride me probably you idiot!!". It was a car crash.Thud wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 11:01 amSteve, is this you mate?steve shearer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 12:54 pmwho also has a beard and shreds on twinnies.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Got out for the mid morning bash before the wind came up. Very pleasant but it filled in quickly. It was literally paddle out, catch wave, paddle out, catch wave. After a while I started being overly selective and tried to change position to snare some inside ones from further over but there were waves aplenty with middling crowds. Avoiding the Easter chaos.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Tiny little peelers with a cast of thousands. Waters nice. Braithwaite surf reports continue to do my head in.

Two surfs today. Two yesterday and a couple through the week. Just started to get into the swing of having a bit of surf fitness.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Went for the late after thinking I would give it a miss. Had a few words with a foamy rider about surf etiquette but ended up catching a few. Killer backwash on the take off. It was a little bit pitchy and if the backwash hit you as you were paddling on it could get funny. Swell building this arvo.

Looked at Bondi but it wasn’t handling the size. Had a swim and then checked out Bronte. There’s sand off the outside take off for a change. The reef even looked semi okay. A long wait with about 10 out the back. Finally managed to snare one that walled up right across. Stoked.
