Re: Where did you surf today ?
Not scared. I can duck dive. Just looked like too much effort for probably no reward. There was the odd walled up one coming through. But shifting all over.
The point was a bit of a circus, as usual. I never get frothing over the point. I’ve had some decent waves there before. A couple of memorable barrels, but overall I’m alway nonplussed if I have to surf it. It’s kinda the quick and easy fix, when I haven’t got time to go somewhere else decent.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
some super fun beachies today. first surf in 2 years in a steamer. my 2mm short sleeve steamer is back with xcel. 1 month past warranty and i split it right under the arm pit into the side seam. right where all the paddling action happens.
hopefully they repair or replace it at no cost.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
steamer bcos other than boardies all i have is that 2mm wettie.
too cold for boardies - i've just had a cold which turned into a chest infection. probs shouldn't even be surfing just yet, but the waves were too fun.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Surfing is a sport that demands spontaneity and it proves increasingly fcuking difficult to have a part time relationship with it. And now I'm off to an art gallery with the family while the surf pumps.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
You're just trying to make me feel better and I'll be having none of it. I'll sustain my bad temper right through the White Rabbit Gallery and on into Spice Alley, regardless of how good the laksa is.

Uh oh, don't tell anyone you have a chest infection, crabby. You will get a forensic investigation into your past posts to ascertain if you have an alcohol induced immune deficiency.crabmeat thompson wrote: ↑Wed Jul 11, 2018 11:17 amsteamer bcos other than boardies all i have is that 2mm wettie.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Went for a paddle yesterday arvo. Fcuking cold and not really in synch. There were some excellent looking waves occasionally but hard to read where they were going to pop up. The only decent one I got was the one I rode in on. Big difference between where the sets broke and where the majority of waves were breaking.

Fcuking cold here too, AND cloudy in the morning. I had to wear a 1mm vest for my dawn surf, things better smarten up around here!

Had a much better time today. Not crowded. I could take my time and get into the rhythm of the sets.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Oh yeah. Fantasy forecasts of it peaking at nearly 14,000kJ next Wed/Thurs and a 10 star rating.
Have all the surf forecasting sites succumbed to false news syndrome? It has been noted by the surf forecasting industry that when large swells are forecast their number of hits (and presumably income) doubles for around two weeks. Are they indulging in accepting somewhat low probability swells to significantly boost their income?
We need a Royal Commission to get to the bottom of this recent trend.

Lets start with a demonstration on Nicks front lawn this coming Sunday morning. Drinks and other refreshments will be supplied.
