Re: Where did you surf today ?
Well, Bendalong this morning. It was 3-4ft and fairly typical Bendy - shifty A frame peaks, chunky on the sets. Beautiful morning, blue sky and glassy till 11.00 am or so. Tide was a bit high but it was still lurching hard on a few. Only 10 or so out over 3 peaks, mostly locals. Water is as warm as i can remember, ever, for the sth coast. Most everyone calling the same. Weird warm and unusual.
The island the night before. Arvo glass off but 2 swells competing and fairly crap overall. Seals and a large school of dolphins in the water. Old Lance the fisherman nailed a giant whiting on a piece of mullet just as we arrived to paddle out. Said he was saving his beach worms for the late evening fish and was a little surprised hooking a giant whiting on a chunk of mullet.

whoa wait a mo there bd, have you posted some fit chicks first?
I bought a whopping great dophin fin locally (90bucks!!) . Inspite of the fact it's a highly rockered performace mal, whose side fins had been glassed off and non existent anymore, i try to ride it like a log. Which brings me to a dilemma surfiie folks... I mean, i know the diff betweena performance mal and a genuine log...but then some dudes go on about logs for 'in the pocket' , 'nose riders' - (self explanatory)etc...Nzh never mind, i'll ride it like i do and be done with convention.
Though i'd dearly like to get my hands on a genuine nose rider.
Cranked! ...this dude is your vintage so yeah, maybe you know him. i'm in denial mind you.
a Barry Palmer shaped 9'6' perf mal a neighbour gave me after he'd found it roadside and finless. I gave it some tlc, dings repaired, a bit of a colour restore, a hug and and few kisses.Beanpole wrote:What were you on skip.

You reckon the sand will survive here?steve shearer wrote:Certainly looks that way. Might be a clean 12-15ft day at the Ox in there on the way through.
How would the QuikPro suits be feeling right now.....months of epic point surf and it's about to be obliterated right before the conny.

be interesting ... dead east swell will curb a fair bit of the longshore drift you'd get with a solid S swell.
still if it gets close to the 12-15ft some are calling, all the sand you're currently enjoying will end up at brunswick.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yeh shame but I can only surf a few days at a time until the ribs give out - I really need a couple of months out of the water so if I can't have it so can't nobody else neither
yesterday killed me again so going to wait until Friday and have a go out you know where ![Embarassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

Re: Where did you surf today ?
models have backed it off a bit Merks.
I think we're looking more at 8-10ft surf rather than 12-15.
I think banks down here might fare better than your bank. MIght drive up and surf it today, should be raggedy enough to thin the crowd, surely.

Handy Home Hint - hit it at 2 at the latest - beat the low and the after work crew. I'm off to work - may get down there by then dunno if I'll go out though prob just a ride along the beach for a look.steve shearer wrote:models have backed it off a bit Merks.
