Surprisingly good today. Two days in a row of surf in Spring.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Got up, checked the conditions, went back to sleep then went for yum cha in the Junction.Hatchnam wrote:That was the worst surf in the worst conditions of this year easily.

Just had a surf at Bondi. Frustrating on the main peak. Ended up back at the little bank up the top. Snared a couple of fun ones. Better than I envisaged.

Hit the local on the late after my yoga class was cancelled. It was glassy at times until the wind picked up towards the end. Pretty happy with the session. Best one in ages.

Bugger Saltman!!!
Had very similar conditions/surf. 2ft/2ft+ with the odd set close to 3 ft. Clean A frames and we had it to ourselves til 7:30am when the zoo turned up.
Only other downer was the sweep heading south and shorewards meant you copped a few of the set a frame on the head!!!

Yeh fat mushy everyday of the year!
I surfed some lightning fast coolangatta point waves for several hours this morning on my 6'6 round pin stubbie with a crazy 9 inch flex fin. Went at it like a rat up a drainpipe.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
do you hang out at the SunHouse rancho?
I stumbled in there a few weeks ago: I thought we were stopping in the Gold Coast for lunch on our way to Murwillumbah, turns out we had stopped at Coolangatta. They had crazy boards and fins like that.
There was a real life chromosomally challenged dude wandering around yelling 'morning! it's open!'
And, they had no avocado for my hipster bacon and egg roll.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Sometimes, not often.
Nice guys who run it and work there. Its the happening spot for all the local non-thruster riders.
Place to go if you want to pick up a decent longboard or fish, or surfmat or fin or whatever. Coffee and beer is decent.
I've had that fin for three years and it doesn't suit anything other than a stubbie type thing where you pump from the middle of the deck. It actually holds well in the barrel, I got some real deep thick ones at kirra Monday and it went gangbusters.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Watched huge DY point for 20 minutes. Only 2 guys out, looked rideable if you had the nuts for 8 footers... Although watched one of the 2 surfers cop a flogging when a wide 10 footer broke about 5 metres in front of him.
