Ron Taylor
Note that Ron Taylor has shuffled off his mortal and described in the manly daily as a marine conservationalist ... Correct me if I,m wrong, but wasn,t it Ron who power headed most of Sydney,s grey nurse population out of existence during the sixties?

Re: Ron Taylor
It takes a special type of dickhead to criticise a guy that has just passed away.
Re: Ron Taylor
yeah, you should criticise him while he's still alive, the respectful way.
Ron and Valerie probably did more to protect sharks than to destroy them.
Heard some interesting stories about things vanishing from shipwrecks.

Re: Ron Taylor
Like most viewpoints the truth lies between those two extremes. Yes, he and Valerie killed sharks in the 1960's just like Ben Cropp did with his explosive head. But remember, to most people in the 1960's all sharks were the enemy and most people wanted them killed.
However, since the 1960's, Ron, Valerie & Ben C became enlightened about the environment, spread the word, and most people followed.
For decades Ron & Valerie Taylor actively lobbied to preserve the marine environment (sharks included) and that is what they should be remembered for.
