Anyone heard of good or bad things about Board Bog?
Thinking about chucking a few blocks in my board bag for my upcoming OS surfari?

used it and it didn't harden, don't even want to know now because I intend fixing the nose ding on the Darcy with fibreglass.Donweather wrote:Anyone heard of good or bad things about Board Bog?

Fong had a used Huie board
the same size, it slotted right in-between my favourite Pure board form RichQ that's 511 and the D'arcy 601, so I've still got 2 all rounders .SHAPED IN ANGER
okay in a pinch I guess, even if it didn't harden it seals out the water.
Ugly stuff, no comparison to Sun Cure, Sun Set or wotever they're called, those are great.

Only problem with these is that airlines don't permit them, hence rather difficult to take on an OS Surfari.daryl wrote:Ugly stuff, no comparison to Sun Cure, Sun Set or wotever they're called, those are great.

bog feels like cement, maybe I didn't kneed it enough, supposing it hardens it might be your best choiceDonweather wrote:Only problem with these is that airlines don't permit them, hence rather difficult to take on an OS Surfari.daryl wrote:Ugly stuff, no comparison to Sun Cure, Sun Set or wotever they're called, those are great.

Re: Board Bog
i got a small sample of the stuff with a surf mag i got from my sister at christmas time. i used it to temporarily seal a tail ding.pridmore wrote:looks like a batch of wax gone wrong, its a good idea but why not use duct tape, it also has plenty of other purposes too....wish the company doin it all the best ...
i kneaded it well,
it didn't harden, as daryl has said.
but it even lets in the water.
when surfing, it moves as you bump it, then you have to mould it in again.
when it came time to dig it out and repair it properly, just like wax, it got in everywhere & was difficult to get rid of - had to end up cutting it all out.
so, don, if your travelling, just bog it up with wax - it's just as good (or not so good)!
i'm glad i got the sample, as i would never pay for this stuff.
