Re: Where did you surf today ?
na iggy its about another 230kms north of there ive surfed it probably 5 times in the last four months and been the only one out , even when its like it was yesterday... the only point to check the wave makes it look really shit (and it hits a wall another 4 meters in(i took those photos from a while away)).

Re: Where did you surf today ?
3-5 ft Tallows yesterday morning on the 6'2" Brocky. Bit lumpy with an impending south wind and high tide. Chunky left barrels everywhere, just a few blokes out (the Pass was a fcucken zoo).
Surfed the low tide in the Richmond River, tandem surfing with my daughter on an 11"0" NSP epoxy ship. Knee high 200 yard lefts.
Got the late at lumpy 6ft Lennox Point, had a blast on a 6"9" Banksy round pin.
That was the peak of the swell.
This morning went to my favourite breakwall. There was one guy and a girl out. A lanky goofy footer tearing the nutsak off it.
Owen Wright.
Shared chunky 4-6 ft lefts for a couple of hours on a 6'5" Mitchell Rae flextail before cameras showed up.
Watched Parko, Fanning and a couple of locals for a bit, but Owen Wright took the heat by a country mile.
Nice kid and he can really surf.
Fcucken stoked. Best couple of days since August last year.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Awesome morning up here.
The swells gone a bit more south east (from it's easterly direction of hte last week or so and lining up beautifully. I can only guess at what it would be like where I think Tiger and Butts went. They probably haven't enough energy to climb back to the car.
I took some pics in the early morning half light and will post some later somewhere on these forums.

Yeah, caught up with Butts Trev. We were just a few clicks N of you. Some beautiful peaks, but it wasn't really liking the NW'er, or the big tide. Still pretty bloody good, but I have high expectations there, knowing how good it can get. Any other beachy breaking that way, and you'd be frothing.

A li'l thing called "Level 3 water restrictions"... that's actually an improvement on the week before.Toby wrote:WTF is going on with your lawn :?.dUg wrote:
LOL... yes... very different positioning to that whole stringer / center trailer approach ( all are side fins on this board ). I must say I was quite amazed at how well it went - especially on my backhand. Very fast down the line but strangely stiff on a few bottom turns ( going frontside )... but this may have been me messing around with foot placement and not quite getting it sussed yet.Toby wrote: Interesting quad, Bert's not a fan IIRC.
I've yet to ride it in good waves though, so it's a bit hard to give it a thorough rating. Had three surfs on it now, number four in about half an hour.

Sorry I don't have a Digital SLR and it was just after first light, but you'll get the picture.
Long Lines to choose from
Nice section
Snap!!
Tasty
Pete slips under a section
Nice bottom turn
Broken plug cross bar caused this. At least 2 guys walked past within 6 ft of it on their way out to the keyhole. I tell myself they couldn't see it in the glare. I tell myself.... I ran down from the hilltop and out along the point to rescue it when I realised no one else was going to.

who's the gay man who notices unkept lawn in the background of an ill-shaped egg-fish-dog...??
anyways, head high low tide barrels at 5.30 - 7.00 this evening at pines to sharktower on my sam egan 6'2"-12-19 3/4"-15-6-2 3/4" custom swallow tailed thruster, single to double concave bottom contours, full round rails to keep volume on the deck [i'm 5'10" & 87 kegs], with M5 FCS. it's a deep concave through the tail and it's loose as, even with the M5's. would probably go the K3 glass stiff ones if it gets any bigger.
2 rail grab backhand barrels (lefts), one from the takeoff, one from driving round a section & stalling.
3 carving rights from very steep and fast takeoffs.
one left cranking 2 backhand reos before it closed out.
a few other fast breaking sucky walls to race along...
that pulse from the south really came up this arvo!

Gunnamatta, got into the water around 0620 just as the sun was rising. Got some nice 2 - 3ft waves before the easterly wind really picked up.
Nothing too great but they were holding okay on the banks and there was hardly anyone out so me and a mate had pretty much most of it to ourselves
