Banks show a little promise in a couple of spots at local beaches but there aren't enough different banks to spread the crowds so it looks like a bit of a shit fight on the weekends. Might try to get away soon if possible.

And up here it's flat.

Plenty of good banks around though. :(

It's a place I've often thought of going to but never actually pulled the pin on. It'll be good to see what you think of it when to get back.

Best winter I've seen here.
I haven't made the most of it but it's been pumping somewhere close by seemingly forever. Back to mid/late May anyway.

It's been a good one.

Very very high quality surf.

Surfed this solo with my wife Sat morning.

Most of my surfs have been solo or close to.
On Saturday morning, me and a mate out at the only genuine reef break in the area.
A couple more joined, all good.
Then literally a group of 20 Queenslanders who all knew each other rocked off and sat on us in the tight take off zone. And had a cameraman on the rocks.
I burnt them on the first 3 waves and went in.
WTF was that about?
Plenty of open beach around for big groups.

Dunno, they drove in all with qld plates so not staying at tent park.
And they all waited for a local to run past them and jump off so that they knew what to do.
They were looking down the beach then thought fuck it and sat on us.
