You take this one, old cock!
No, no - after you, good chap!
Why, thank you, kind fellow! The next one's yours.
Not at all! I do like the look of your McCoy - may I have that instead?

Checked out a few spots, everywhere was crowded with the smaller swell and light offshores.
There was about 30 out at Lefties, all in a tight little group. I tried Noises, didn't score, so reluctantly paddled over to Lefties.
And who should be at the top of the queue but my mate, it's been his staple for 30 years now. So I paddled over and he introduced me to his mates.
Then it was all "You take this one" and me saying "No you go". So I caught 5 hollow, head high rippers in about 30 minutes - there was a fairly long lull between sets.
One guy came up after I'd happily ripped a good wave and said "A McCoy huh, the perfect board for here".
This was all very unusual for me, I'm sure I'll be back to a bumbling idiot tomorrow.
30 out at Lefties mid week?
The population growth there is mind blowing.

I was there at about 3pm Sunday - I had to drive down from Perth. Yeah it was going off, but beyond my goofy pay grade. I did surf South Point but it was crowded with locals who had it wired much more so than me. I'm just starting to try and come back after two years without much surfing at all.

I remember some wheelchair xylophonist getting all macho about how he liked to smash absolutely heaps of Weetbix before a hard day's roofing

yeah how's the second layer of swell off that easterly, it pushed harder than anyone thought
incredible continuing erosion at many beaches right now, a lot of central NSW sand lines are still back where they were in mid winter.

Caught a few. Plenty of thunder and a bit of lightning to finish proceedings. There's actually a few banks around at the moment.

Back in Bangkok. No waves for me today. Remembered some good ones from years past. Can't complain.

My surf accommodation until I can get back to the Bukit:
An esky, 3 boards, a tent and a bench. What else do you need?
