Liberal, but a Mal Turnbull sounds like an appropriate name.

I guess Jimbo might still go for aTurnbull since it’s a bit of a hybrid crossover design.
I think McCoy used to make the Gillard Model.

I've run an eye over those Free Flight "minimals" and they definitely don't get my juices flowing.

This on the other hand ...

Joel Fitz might disagree. (especially from around the 1 minute mark on the clip)

I’m about to head down the channel bottom twin path. I’m going to get a 7’2. Always wanted a channel bottom. Going to Indo in Nov to a long deep water point break. Should be the only board I need.

Black Barons are popular here. Seem one guy surfs them well.

The other I’ve seen on Instagram is a DP Zen Twin that looks ok

I’ve back to my local surf shop a couple of times in the last week to cast my eyes over these. The 6’8 (HV) model is what I’ve had my eye on but haven’t been able to get my hands on one. Shop had 6’6, 7’0, 7’6. Nice boards, but they also always seem to have FCS fin boxes in them. I’ve got 3 sets of futures keels laying which i need to put to good use.
Tossing up between one of these or going to see PCC for a custom 7’2 channel bottom twin. Leaning towards the custom at this stage.

Either way I’ll be dancing.

I'm just so embarrassed to report I bought a 7' 7S epoxy 5 fin fish.

One of those brightly coloured ones long out of production, no dings or depressions, $400.

I'd hate to think what that sort of construction would cost now.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

I still think most people jumping on these trendy long twins flay around like they are on a HP/Hybrid board that requires constant turning. Their arms are up and high and throwing their bodies around like whirling dervishes with the board wanting to draw smooth long lines. It’s pretty fucking horrible to watch but, amplifies the fact that generations bought up on a diet of HPSB, Pro Surfing etc. who think they can ride anything in fact cannot. It’s interesting. Style is everything.

This.

I appreciate the aesthetics of them but I I think everyone riding them would go better on just about anything else.

They have their place.
I’m better suited to the single with sides.
Watching 10ft sth swell Lennox a year or so ago that had some big burgery wall sections and a guy on a long twin gun was seemingly effortlessly criss crossing as if he was cutting fresh tracks on a snowboard.
All the regular boards were cutting back to the white water searching for a pocket and just not working properly.
That guy had it dialed.
