I couldn't be happier. About to wax it up now and give it a test run.

Some more pics. But early for a proper ride report yet but so far it feels pretty sweet. First go out was in overhead but average wind affected beach breaks. Soon gave up on that and hit the point. Much smaller but still fun. Got a few nice cutbacks happening. Holds a steady line and feels crisp and precise when you put in on rail.tomorrow I'm gonna hit national park for proper go at it.

Lovely rail. What's the edge like leading down towards the tail, sharp or curved?

It's low, rolled. Bit of an edge to it but Nothing too sharp. The overall rail on the board is fairly thin-blade like but not sharp edged if that makes sense.

Yeah it does, looks like it would love a driving bottom turn. Keen to hear more.

Look forward to seeing this one in the flesh Hatchnam. Got a solid case of man flu so it won't be this swell unfortunately.

Had a chance to surf it? How does it go?

It's great. Blue ribbon board for blue ribbon waves. Haven't had the chance to fully put it through its paces yet. But have had it in quality points and reefs and some very clean walled up beachies - all up to about four foot.

It's not a top to bottom board, doesn't like fat waves. Absolutely loves a clean down the line wave with some push and a bowly pocket. Feels super steady, cutbacks feel smooth as silk. The less effort, more relaxed you are, and more subtle you surf it the better it responds. It forces you to strip down any superfluous movement and really focus on the wave.

I'm looking forward to getting it out at sandon and waves of that ilk, in the five foot plus range to see what's up.

You just articulated the biggest learning of my single fin tangent.

And I can't wait to get my big red bastard down to bells to do just that.

We'll have to tee up a wave next time there's a swell around.

I don't mind riding mine (6'8) in bumpy point waves. I find the weightiness of the board really helps getting through the chop and the length is great for getting in early on the high tide.
I flick over to the 7'7 over on the beachie though.

Glad it's going well for you mate.

Yep. You gotta let single fins do their thing. Feel the wave out, don't try and force your agenda on the board or the wave. Let the board and wave be boss and follow along

They're simple and neutral but also really unforgiving if your
Timing and positioning is even slightly out. There's no quick way to make up lost momentum (no pumping your way out of a mistake like on multi fin boards) as it's essentially just a rudder
