yo

i'm finally gunna get myself a new board...i've decided that the special channels i've developed across my board (a.k.a. creases..) are really not helping me out in the water, and so i'm gunna go for something new. i'm currently riding a manta eppo air, and i reckon it's sick, cept for the creases...but am looking at getting something new..maybe with a stringer.

any ideas? do you reckon i need a stringer? i'm wanting to spend about $300ish...so it's not gunna be top of the range stuff...something that launches nicely and is fast would be sweet.......

Hey tim, how are you going mate? :)

A new board huh?, sic! well if your going for more an arial assault board i would go for a bat-tail with 60/40 rail's, you'd probably go for a lighter board nothing to heavy, although there used to be a problem with light board's before stringer's came out as you said they'd get crease's and extremely flexible :P what i have found with less flexible board's is that when you go to boost, doing the smooth bottom turn and projection i find stronger board's easier to gain speed and launch, but acually to get air most probably the more flexible board, also better on landing's, mate think of your skill level and think ok i am pretty good on my bottom turn's and hitting the lip but i'm kind of crap at acually geting air, then think what the board can help and offer some assistance :)

But yeah dude, now we have stringer's it's pretty swoit :) also make sure your elbow is just above the widepoint, right size etc the ususal mumbo-jumbo on selecting a board hehe :D

Anyway dude, good luck finding a new board :)

Hey Pringle, i surf DY mostly, manly on occasion, curly, narrabeen and little narra. I ride a few boards (yes im a board slut). Shortboard and my NEW blue 4play bodyboard.
