I felt up a 6’2 pyzel mini padilac at surfboard empire today.
Felt so nice. Said it was 2 3/4 but felt 2 3/8 under the arm.
Also felt like proper top to bottom, pumping and barreling days only kind of board so wouldn’t get much use from me.

I’ve felt and surfed a ghost and a ghost pro, and this felt like it wanted even better waves.
Or, in other words, I think the ghost could step down to more average surf than this could.

Probably going to pick up a 6'8" thruster tomorrow as a step up.

I'd normally be on about a 6'4", but I think I'll go a little longer.
Winter surf is bigger and flatter here, it's been over 8ft for a week at least, and today was 15ft at 22s.

Sounds like the ghost, which seems to contain more volume than the dims suggest

I meant from a 2 3/4 vs 2 3/8 perspective. Yes, I've surfed the ghost in 2' waves with stiff fins and had enough fun.
Gotcha.
I actually think the written dims suggest the volume, but when you pick them up feels like it’s not there.
I surfed the 5’10 phantom and felt a bit under-volumed at 30l and i was surfing other boards that said they were 27, 28, 29L and didn’t feel under. The 5’11 phantom round was good though.

How did the 6'4" feel Buddy?

Didn’t look at it.
The kind of wave I could imagine it being great for would be those pumping days at beacon that they often put up on swellnet wave of the day by Steve Arklay.
Had that real streamlined gun feel but in a 6’2.

I like those types of boards.
as long as you have enough volume.
