I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Knee Replacement
My GP is definitely on the spectrum. He was a dentist before he became a GP.
Re: Knee Replacement
You’d reckon a dentist would make more money than a GP.

Re: Knee Replacement
Dentistry would be more work, more equipment and the appointments longer.
Re: Knee Replacement
Yeah but they charge heaps more for even a check and clean than a GP visit.

Dunno, I don’t go to the dentist.
GPs have it pretty worked out though.

Re: Knee Replacement
Dentists do stuff with a variety of doing stuff equipment. You can’t even get an x-ray at most doctors. With doctors, all you get is a prescription and/or a referral.
I like what my GP says when we part. I hope it works out well for you.

Sounds like a Con, Trev. Be afraid, very very afraid
In reality my feeling is he's at prime career stage to enable a great outcome. My shoulder surgeon was around that age with a stellar reputation. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. You'll be back winning old fart's comps in no time

Yeah but he put your shoulder back together upside down.
Dentistry has some of the lowest work satisfaction ratings, and used to have the highest undergrad suicide rate.

Re: Knee Replacement
The missus has had two operations on her ankle over the last couple of years. 6 months in a cast all up. Rehab has been slow and one doctor wanted to do an operation on her knee. Another doctor suggested exercises and physiotherapy which has made some progress. The other knee plays up instead 🤪

Re: Knee Replacement
How did it go, Trev?
Re: Knee Replacement
Job done.
Started at 5.30 last night.
No pain (yet).
I’m to expect some in a couple of days.
I’m finding no discomfort walking.
No limping. Which apparently you have to watch out for because your muscle memory says, “limp”.
I can walk without crutches but they want me to use them for a few days.
Looking good for now. Hopefully that’ll continue

Re: Knee Replacement

Her summary was, “honestly, you wouldn’t know Trev’s had surgery at all:
Encouraging.

2.30 am
At 12.10 a nurse came by and woke me up to take my blood pressure.
Can’t go back to sleep.
No pain. Just bored.
Going home today.
Surgeon came last night a said don’t bother with two crutches. Just use one but you really don’t need any.
Just better safe than sorry.
More there in case you need to twist or turn unexpectedly.
Did I say I’m going home today.
