Can I rent a boat to cross Bali Straights?
Hi Mariners,
I'm going to be in Medewi over xmas. Rolled the dice on a delayed wet season due to positive IOD. Looking for options if the westerlies are up. Looking at Google maps there appear to be a couple of rights on the north eastern side of Java across the Bali straights. https://maps.app.goo.gl/CYvG6x3HxyZovjuU6
Thoughts?

I don't know

From g land Wikipedia.
“Another right hand wave is situated about 20 miles east of G-land, which has been featured in Indonesian surf magazines, and dubbed as "Reverse G." It is apparently a quality, long, right hand wave (the 'reverse' of G-Land) but which is very difficult to get to, requiring some boat access, and furthermore only works in off-season winds (about late November to April).”

Thanks for the tip Buddy,
Found this:
"The waves at G Land won’t be any good, but Reverse G (about five hours away on the other side of the peninsula) could be all time. Good luck finding a boat to take you there. You may find one by ringing the G Land surf camp offices in Bali. Don’t forget your credit cards. Getting there isn’t cheap."

Hey everyone! I'm thinking of heading to Bali as well for some surf action and was wondering if any of you have suggestions for the best surf spots there? I've heard so much about Uluwatu and Padang Padang, but would love to know about any hidden gems or less crowded spots!
Also, I'm planning to rent a boat to explore around Bali and maybe head to the G-Land area. It seems like a fantastic way to discover some of those lesser-known breaks and maybe stumble upon the perfect wave. Anyone interested in sharing a ride or have any tips on renting a boattheglobesailor?

Forget about Uluwatu and Padang Padang buddy, if the number of people going there is any indication, Canggu has the best waves on Bali.

There’s a little secret spot near the airport……Kuta Beach I think it’s called.
