HIRT usually involves high interval resistance until you HURT yourself. Then you quit.

It’s high “intensity” resistance training beanpole.
It actually reduces injury risk for all other aspects of life.
There’s a risk to everything but injuries generally happen to either the ignorant or the ego lifters.
As with all training the body adapts and you should have consistent steady progression within what you can tolerate.
It is usually not linear either so if you’re not “feeling it” one day, but you lifted x amount last week and want to increase or at least match that then that will increase your risk.
Injuries happen from doing too much too soon after doing too little for too long so plan and train accordingly.

It’s not rocket science but a lot of people seem to have trouble grasping very simple concepts in this regard.

Thank you for clarifying Buddy. Weekend Emergency Departments verify your last observation.

So what are the stats of people doing their regular resistance training on weekends ending up in ED?

Not sure why you mentioned weekends, is that because of weekend sport which has nothing to do with resistance training?

You can add posting shit on Realsurf in between those activities.

The Realsurf arguments with the “antagonists” is that the high intensity part of the day?

It is for them :-D-:
Thankfully they have worked out it’s a futile exercise.
It’s been much more pleasant on here.

Post baby reduction in training.
Lost weight down to 75kg which is lightest I’ve been in 8-10 years.
Probably less food and less beer.
Beer’s not as enjoyable when you have to do something strenuous of the mind with patience and calmness afterwards.
Like putting a sleep resistive baby to sleep.
General feeling of stiffness from not taking my body through its motion ranges.

Anyway, got back to training this week.
Done 2 sessions and aiming for every other day until I get down to Melb.
Lifting a touch lighter in weight than when I left off but really focusing on the deeper ranges for mobility purposes.
Dishes, cleaning and gardening in the rest periods.
Didn’t lose much strength which is good.
