Ordered a Barryvox S to replace my Pieps DSP Pro. I read some stuff that said they have issues and this is kind of a straw / camel thing after using Pieps for 30 fcuking years. Barryvox was 20% off.
Ordered an Alpride SuperCap33 E2, 10% off.
Unfortunately it'll be too difficult to claim VAT on either given we'll be travelling by train from the EU into CH. Almost worth de-training in buttfuck Austria for the $500.

That was a thigh burner for sure.
That angle didn't do the riding any favours. Really flattened some very steep stuff.

Big avalanche inbounds in Tahoe today at Palisades. One dead, one broken leg and two recovered uninjured.
Storm snow on a rain slab was always going to be dicey. Probably only the low snowpack keeping people inbounds that has prevented backcountry deaths.

Saw that.
In other snow news I sent Mrs PeepeelaPew a Reuters article about a gondola line nearby hit by a tree that caused the cabin to fall. Danish family inside suffered serious injuries.

Decent amount of snow falling at Dodge Ridge now Boo. Perfect day for it today in the sunshine
If my boy wasn't filling up weekends with basketball and baseball I'd be headed there this weekend.

My son and his family are there right now. Well, Blackcomb.
Says the day before they arrived was 2.5 hours wait. After a massive snow dump the night before.
Since he's been there, nearly a week, there's virtually no waiting.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

5 hours of boot to shin deep today. Good fun but the body will tell the story tomorrow. It's hard to go from zero to flat out. Back already sore.
Re: General snow stuff
Nice.
1-3 feet falling this weekend, but the freeze level is pretty high.

I went to Dodge Ridge on Monday with my son and a mate of mine.
Snowboarded all day from 09:00 to 16:00 only stopping for 30 minutes. I'm still a rank amateur but by the end I could do entire runs without wiping out - I can heel stop easily now, toe-stopping on transition is still a bit of a challenge
Was sore as fcuk for a few days but managed to paddle out for a surf down at Santa Cruz this morning for an hour before my shoulders were about to die.
Currently scouring Craigslist, Ebay, OfferUp etc.. for second hand gear as I'm going to commit now
