Head to Mammoth instead
There's still so much snow in California. I'm going splitboarding in late June and July. A friend is planning a backcountry skiing trip in August.

On news.com.au there's an article about the crowded lift lines and it says a one day lift pass at Perisher is $234. What a joke

The problem with Perisher (and Threbo, Falls etc), is that a) it's really expensive and b) it's really crap compared to anywhere half decent.

I have seen candle ice once in my life. I don't know that I ever will again. Might have to scroll up or down, reels are weird to share

Europe always looks bony even when they have a good season.

That spine to skier's left of the lift looks fun.

Current predictions are another winter of above average precipiatation for California.

I really enjoyed snowboarding even though I found it bloody hard. My boy is itching to go again so a trip is definitely on the cards

Just keep one eye on the horizon man, you best not blink. They're coming fin by fin until the whole boat sinks

That was live, which isn't a bad kick start for mid November at resort altitudes.

Yeah I know, but I stand by my statement.

Mammoth opened last week, actually slightly later than normal. But they'd only been closed for 2 months.

I agree with your statement. Even in the boniest years I've done ok plus last several trips I've flat out scored

I'm planning on doing more back country this season. And I'd like to get to Taos or Big Sky.
Family stuff is chewing up my leave though.
