Re: Ears
Plus we were talking to this old duck and her husband while we waited for the plane yesterday. She could talk the hinges off a door but every time her husband spoke he half whispered. I don't think anyone understood a word he said. There was another old guy travelling with them and he just went quiet.
Used to have a manager who liked to lower her voice when she was talking confidentially. Kind of sexy but I never understood half of what she said.

All the best, iggs. Based on my shoulder replacement nearly 2 yrs ago, the prescribers are a little less liberal with the prescriptions than they once were. I didn't have much fun after the need; not much fun at all

Thanks Pants
Getting a new set of earplugs is usually more of a spur of the moment situation after losing one rather than an in a few days scenario.

Re: Ears
Yes, the thing is if you lose one then you already have a spare. You just hope it will be the opposite ear next time
Sometimes a set will last for years and only get replaced when the silicone deteriorates.
They seem to be getting replaced by those bigger brightly coloured ones that get promoted everywhere.
I think proplugs are a superior product.
Stockists are shrinking though.
For example….they used to be sold at the chemist near the Bondi Hotel. Not anymore.
I bought a set a couple of years ago at Bondi Surf Co. but that’s now Surf Dive and Ski and basically a clothing shop.
Lost one getting flogged bodysurfing at Bronte and ended up finding a replacement pair at Surf Culture but they appeared to be old stock from out the back.
So buying online may be the solution in future.

Re: Ears
Hearing loss and/or tinnitus has been linked to Alzheimer's dementia. Something to do with the signals to the brain being in disarray leading to neurofibillary tangles. Along with amloid plaque build up, these tangles are one of the main causes of the disease.
Shingles in older age has been linked to A/d too, and there was a study done in (cough) Wales recently which found a possible benefit of the shingles vaccine in halting the spread of amyloid plaque caused neurofibrillary tangles in the brain.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Have a close relative with Lewy Body so been reading up a bit in role of intestine bacteria etc. Either way it’s a brutal way to finish your time on the planet.
I know a handful of plumbers with dementia. Toxic glues a hint.
