I'm buying the Alpride SuperCap33 E2. They're putting one aside for me and sending it to me in Europe in 10 months.
Re: General snow stuff
I've heard good things.
I probably would've gone for something a little bigger.

Re: General snow stuff
My ancient one is around 30L and fits shovel, probe, down, skins, snacks, basic emergency stuff. The canister and mechanism and design are far more clunky in the old one so I'm expecting to get more utility from the new one.
The lack of travel hassle is worth the price of entry.
Customer service has been good. Their English is fine although they asked if I could do French or German so I've been using the latter and they've been responding in a mixture of English and German.

Yeah, I use a 24l non-airbag pack and have space but if I was getting a capacitor bag I think I'd want it for hut trips.

Re: General snow stuff
I went snowboarding a few weeks ago at Dodge Ridge in California
First time I have ever been to the snow in my life
People who tell you surfers translate to snowboarding well are full of shit - there is nothing, I repeat nothing in common
I wiped out so many times, and my body was sore for a week. One fall I took at high speed as some dumb cnut wiped out in front of me and rather than move just sat in the middle of the run taking in the mountain air as I was bearing down on him. I couldn't turn fast enough and hit the ground so hard it sent up a shower of snow in the process. I asked the stupid American cnut if he was planning on having a picnic and he looked at me with these idiot hu-moon eyes and didn't say anything.
Despite that it was fcuken fun, I'll be back next season!

Just keep one eye on the horizon man, you best not blink. They're coming fin by fin until the whole boat sinkssome cnut wrote:There are only two real problems that we face in life, knowing what we want but being unable to know how to get it and/or not knowing what we want

Those people are called gapers.
They look at you with eyes and mouth agape, unable even to comprehend their own stupidity.
Once you get into powder it translates, but I agree the first few days suck.

The moving finger writes and having writ moves on ... now all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel even half a line ... nor all thy tears wash out a single word of it.
Re: General snow stuff
Apparently it relates more to skateboarding than surfing.Grooter wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 6:29 amI went snowboarding a few weeks ago at Dodge Ridge in California

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

I find it translates really well, if you have basic motor skills. I did a day or so and was up on the upper mountain. A few years later I had to quickly learn to get a job. I spent two weeks learning and was able to participate and pass a course with a bunch of pros.

Re: General snow stuff
lol. i can just see it.
seriously tho', the shit this place proffers is just astounding. dead estates, hard times (i doubt) .. offspring offloading, (probs most likely) ...the mind boggles at the wealth and excess some people 'round here have grifted, accumulated, acquired is just that: mindboggling.

The skis look unused, and wouldn't be out of place in some resorts I've visited.
The Pewlette(s) might like the luggage.
I actually like that chair, not that I've got anywhere to put it.
