We worked at a family-owned resort for a couple of seasons back in the day. A couple of years later it was sold to a conglomerate. Season passes went from $250 to $1000, indicative of resort-wide price hikes
Imagine if you could combine mountain biking with snow skiing ... you'd make a fucking fortune.

A few years back, Queenstown was doing more business from MTB in spring, summer and autumn than ski and snowboarding in winter.

Went splitboarding last weekend. Base was low and I locked my keys in the car and waited 2.5 hours to unlock the vehicle which meant a lot of hiking to keep warm.

It's meant to start snowing hard Sunday afternoon so I'm hoping the roads stay open. Hopefully getting about 25cm by Monday morning. Debating whether to take the powder board or test out the new camber number.

In Tokyo ?

We are planning to go to Iwate and then Yuzawa, maybe Myoko Kogen as well if time permits.

I was in Japan when Covid kicked off and the Chinese shut down their stock market, hopefully that won't happen again :!:
