That was a buzz, working in the melanoma unit, testing a prototype detector that Rambo'd be proud of.
I've skinned a toe from dropping a sharp end of a woodcut on it, ~20+kg and keeping it dry, after all the Dettol, savlon, Betadine with bandaids that kept it a bit too pussy for days. Gotta love the bigger Stihl @ 98db, my saws are toothpicks; update, a big Husky.

The stitches were unsuccessful. As the cut was too blunt and ugly. So, now I’m left with a gaping shin gash that needs to heal over

Have you had any advice on how to manage the wound now?

Just to keep it covered in eye-antibiotics until it’s crusted. Then apply betadine . Wait for it to heal / crust over before surfing again.
Look like it’ll be another couple of weeks

The sight of that purulent gash is warming Ricky’s loins.

Looks like my MTB accident.

I kept it covered and healed it slowly with Manuka honey.

Bathed it with dilute tea tree every night.

It will take a while mate.

Yeah I’m not gonna rush it.

Aside, fuck mountain bikes and the potential for seriously injury.

This joint out western Sydney parklands looks pretty ace but. Saw it yesterday, this is just one part of the tracks. Looks pretty decent!

At least another 4 weeks in a boot for my broken foot. It's not a huge inconvenience but it's inconvenient and hobbling around on it gets old pretty quickly

Putting on my wettie the other day the thought occurred to me, ' how does RickyG get his enormous calves through the rubber confines?'
How do you manage ricky, bell bottoms?

 that's never been a problem but I do have issues with pants that taper at the bottom. When I stand up the pants stay stuck to my calves and I have to manually push them down.

Just have a word to Bugs about where he gets his long pants. He had some impressively baggy ones on yesterday during the broadcast.

Couldn't find a thread dedictated to this overdue cause so best to create one then.

Document your surfing injuries here with full commentary and gore as it happens.

Very tame effort on my part to get things started.

Sea Urchin Molestations from Walking Out / Rocking Off. No other injury to self or board sustained, aside from some slight cuts and some ankle scrapes. Fun session was had.

Sea urchin stings can be a real pain, literally. I've had my fair share of surfing injuries too. One time I got caught on the inside during a big swell and ended up with a nasty fin cut on my thigh.
