16 year old girl gets off her jet ski to swim with dolphins in the Swan River and falls victim to a shark.

Oh shit, as kids we were taught not to swim in rivers and estuaries.

Yep, only swam above the weir in the Tweed River. Sharks sighted up as far as Murwillumbah.

Geez. We spent our school years swimming in Currumbin Creek.

From memory the shark death toll prior to netting in NSW was many times greater than now and 90% were in rivers and estuaries and most of those were around Sydney.

Bull sharks need to be culled. Like deadly cockroaches impacting the food chain.

Looks like another surfer taken by a pointer in SA. Guy was surfing at Walkers Rock Beach, just north of Elliston. They haven’t found anything yet.

Not sure exactly where this attack happened ba. They’re reporting the location as Walkers Rock Beach, which is just up the road from Elliston’s main surf spot Blacks. Used to surf Blacks a lot back in the day. Not sure what’s up at Walkers, he may have been surfing a beachy, or it may have actually happened at Blacks.
A young bloke was killed at Blacks in 2000, the day after another bloke at Cactus.
