Wave looks much better suited to a fish or egg than a log.

Godsave could have caught twenty waves while they wait for a second wave in Abu Dhabi.

That’s tough Jim.
I reckon a midlength cruise out at greenmount this weekend is calling you.
I have that 5’10 that Firko shaped me and it the closest the a mid length. Although I could buy one with all the durry money I’m saving. But I think Currumbin is more my bag at the moment to be honest. It’s kook central.

Cheers MM. I wrote a really long heartfelt reply to Buddy a while back when he asked me if I was back in the water. I’m not yet and I’m actually suffering from a fair bit of anxiety about it.
Also quite common apparently but it’s fucked.
I hear you Jimmy. I’m in no way comparing myself to you, but I’ve now been out of the water for a couple of months. And may be out for at least one more. At one stage I had visions of being one of those people with chronic back/nerve pain and I’d have to give up surfing (I just can’t help but look for all the negatives sometimes). I started to head into a dark place. And now I’ve got anxiety over the fact that I’m 56 and probably can’t even stand up anymore. That’s why I’ve ordered the Emery. Hopefully it’ll hype me up to get out there. Mental health can really fuck with you.

I genuinely wish you well and hope you get back out there soon.

Boys jump back in at the ground floor- get a foamy or a boog and muck around in the Shorey.

I had 12 months out of the water when I tore my shoulder rotator cuff tendon in half (motorcycle accident)... God I was depressed!

Surf like there’s no one watching (maybe a trip to Bendy)

I went back and read how you hurt yourself. You twerp. You’re lucky you didn’t give yourself a bran injury. Good luck with the recovery.

My new sled should arrive just in time for me to get back in the water. Waters warming up so not so much rubber needed and no booties. Plan is to just take it easy in some small beachies down the coast away from the crowds. And get out as much as possible.

Cool. Hopefully I’m back in the water and we can catch up for a session in the shorey.

Thanks for your concern Thud. I did actually have a brain injury. Fractured skull and a brain bleed. Thank fuck it stopped after my 2nd day in ICU. That’s what they were most concerned about and they didn’t need to drill into my head which was an option.
I’m a silly fucker but you already knew that. 😂

Bronte looked really nice this arvo…….until you saw the very occasional clean up set roll through and break right through Tama and Bronte. Would have been good down the Coal Coast I imagine.

A lot more user friendly than it looked for its size.
