Tiger ol cock. I suspect we are cut from the same cloth digger. Actually, Uncle Robbie was none other than Robbie Page of course.
As ya know I aint a fan of yank product, but Surfers 2 aint bad. A historical focus on surfin in general. The focus is on all the rebs-archie, dora, etc with a lot of time taken lookin at Potts just after he won the world title. Interviews a plenty and ya can get a feel for the fakes and the real surfers.

Storm Riders, because it was the first film I saw, and Endless Summer because it's the best.

I know other films have better surfing but those are the most meaningful to me.

"On the Road with Spike" is a good one. Lots of sepos, but some good footage of Aussie spots.

Justin Gane's "odyssey" is pretty rad too...

I ain't no old man but you can't go past Morning Of The Earth and The North Shore for being just plain cool.

Getting back with the times September Sessions is hard to beat.

I don't know whether they were the best but I could comfortably sit through Free Ride and A Day in the Life, a couple more times. Pity is I'm pretty sure Free Ride is unavailable??

The greatest surf movie of all time is a dead heat between bondi tsunami and the Quiksilver Pad home video with Anna from Switzerland in Hawaii. That Anna was quite a nasty girl.

My favorite surf movies
- Pump - "was awesome" watched when i was young grommet, occy & ronnie burns ripping Reunion was the best. Got me hooked on surfing.
- Step into Liquid - some of the bet big wave footage i ever seen. Awesome movie. Cortes Bank is unbeleivable.
- Hawai 94 - Shawn Briley's perfect 10 pipe barrel was unreal, and Kalani's little snippet was some of the trickiest surfing i had ever seen.
- Shane Dorian's bio movie forgot the name is awesome as well and right up there.
- Occumentary
- 9 lives - cos it showed some awesome south coast footage where i am from. Shane Dorian ripping, and Sunny ripping.

I think the best section of surfing i ever seen in a surf movie has been done by Kelly Slater- his setcion in Performers 2 is incredible, and his section in Loose Change is also unreal. His backahnd surfing at the mentawis in loose change will never be bettered.

Too many top movies out there when u start to think about it.

I also really liked Ticket to Ride when i was a grommett with Johnny Boy Gomes and Buttons surfing in Tonga. Those old 80's movies were the best as they went for 2 bloody hours. Today they are way too short.

The Cortes Banks footage was awesome!
I remember watching it at cremorne with 20 of my mates and wehn the guy was taking the drop on the 66footer, we were all screaming "FUCKING TURN YA NUT" because he was dropping, and dropping and that wave was just getting bigger and bigger. IT WAS EPIC
How that boat captain survived is beyond me ay, cause that wave was about 30-40ft wasn't it, and he just tried to dive under it!

ENDLESS SUMMER
FREE RIDE
RACETRACK SESSIONS
CLASSICAL GAS
NOMADS
SABOTAJ
STEP INTO LIQUID
DOGTOWN & Z-BOYS (hey i know but it's a mad film anyways, shows what surfers can do when they put their mind to stuff besides mull, chicks and waves-jokes guys)
