Thats great Roy. I was looking at a tribute to the Duke on Youtube and this familiar figure cruised through in the middle of the footage. I thought hey thats not the Duke, thats Roy and it was. You put yourself in there, Roy didn't you.

Given the momentum of that thing, wouldn't you need a new fin every time you wipe out, as it goes crashing into the shore?

Assume about a 5% repair cost, you're looking at $25k per outing.

Well I'm still shaping the Olo of the Sun 19 footer which is probably the most flexible board I've made so far.

Roy have you got any photos of that thing riding hollow waves? What's it like in double overhead waves?

Double overhead waves and larger are ideal for the board, it does well in small surf but with the higher speed which bigger waves give the flex really starts to work, also the board likes big arcs so enjoys more room on the face. The board handles well in the tube also.

I've been out of the water for a bit, and am looking forward to getting some more waves and footage, will have to work back into it though.
