Skunked to shit by the Mid North Hoax.

After glowing from Lennox I drove to a mates place in Bello, chilled out- quite excited by the prospect of some good waves at the nearest beach- Valla, Hungry whatever- before continuing the drive south.

Too fat, too full, closing out.

Decided to go south and something about the point break vibe made me do the dumbest thing ever and decide to go to Crescent.

An hour out of my way to find a foot of fat horror. Not 'Pleasant Head'.

Wtf I was thinking, I don't know.

I was in the middle. Nothing down south and up the top didn't look like much was happening. That's at The Bra. No one was staying on any of the peaks around there.
I can safely say I haven't seen anyone get a decent wave at any beach around here today....and I looked at every beach. More people out at The Bra than anywhere. You were lucky, Loofs.
Thanks for the advice though.
What time u surf?
i was there all day. Beans must be trippin'. the only rips i spotted were memorials on benches. unless he was floundering either side of the flags mid beach.

We found my mates board. It got stuck in a cave and pounded into several pieces.

Exactly where I was. Guess I missed the fantastic surf where ever that was. As I said I didn't see anyone catch a decent wave...but good luck if you paddled out. It looked great from the beach.

Although I must say my worst type of surf is a pitching lip that immediately goes into a fat lump and stops......or just doesn't break if it's not big enough......with a rip.

Low tide, well overhead at 6am, double every now and then, glassy, just two of us at first. I managed to time a lull and paddle out easily this time.

Only caught a couple, not much paddling power and a bit slow to my feet after surfing for only two weeks in the last seven months.

It started to shut down as the tide filled in, wind still light but now cross-off, still overhead and only six out when I came in at 8am

Funny you should mention this AJ. After leaving my first button dyeing job I went to SE Asia. Bali was the last stop on the way home. I befriended an Australian Guy out in the surf at Kuta Reef and he lent me a surfboard. Hi brother and sister in law ran a clothing business. She wS Indonesian. Hung out with them a bit and on the very last day I was there I just happened to mention that I used to dye buttons. He drove me out to the factory and I gave him a rundown on button dyeing technique. He recorded our conversation. True story.....I'm on a roll today.

Not sure, Hindu Sherwani buttons are pretty good though, like jewellery. This takes the button factory saga to a new level entirely.

Back to surf though. Things improved later in the day, wind light and offshore, the swell still holding up, four of us on the peak.

For submission as mitigating evidence after savagely assaulting you because you wouldn't just SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT BUTTONS?

To tell the truth eggs are one thing I avoid buying when I’m grocery shopping. So you may say I’m an intermittent egg buyer who usually lets someone else buy them.

Sorry beany that was uncalled for. This run of feeble onshore dribble is really doing my head in

 All good GST.

I should point out he also lent me a beautiful 7' Dick Harvey Pintail.
His brother had an Outer Island flex tail with an insane concave.
I think Mitchell posted a photo of it on his Facebook Page a while ago.
