Surfed with a mate. All to ourselves.
Pumping, for 2ft wedges anyway.
Bunch of cars came, watched, and left. Couldn’t believe it.
Finally a few cars started suiting up, but to my surprise everyone took a peak each and we still had our spot to ourselves.

I should have come down.

Skullcandy Gromfest comp is on, and it was packed with groms and surf dads.

Groms and surf dads is what I imagine would be my hell. A never ending session at 2ft Cabarita with me and a hundred groms with their loud mouthed dads sending me in.

Apparently the parking at Crescent is a nightmare in school holidays. So he's got that to entertain him.
Luckily it was only Qland School Holidays. Not very crowded. Low tide in the arvo so a bit of waiting for that. Had one last early session yesterday before the morning high had progressed. Just fun fast little peelers. Standard of hipster longboarding has progressed since the last time I was up here. Rumor had it that they were getting rid of beachfront parking but this proved to be false. I walk across the Golf Course anyway.

Pumping arvo. No one out. Bit of sweep but manageable on the 6’6.

Saw a couple guys surf the Bal bar this morn on big boards, no skis.

Haven’t seen that for a while.

A fun reef break in a bay in SW WA that I used to surf when i was a teenager.

A few solid sets scared the crap out of me but heaps of power and not too many people out.

Yep, visiting my parents, I spent a lot of time in this area growing up. Some proper solid waves around.

Can't find it now but there was a pic on FB yesterday of someone with 23 stitches just above their eye from a kook paddling over the shoulder and throwing his board which flipped back in the lip fins first into the head of the surfer riding through.
Missed his eye by literally one cm.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Notorious. Typical media beat up :-D-: Hospitals get a steady stream of casualties every time there’s a swell.
