Yeh, I'd give it a crack.
Looks like plenty of crew are surfing it again.

What about Northern California with no one out?

I feel like anything unfamiliar is scarier than places you've already surfed.

It's that phenomena
'I surfed here with no issue' and then the more times you multiply that situation it just doesn't threaten you much anymore.

I surfed in front of a big memorial cross yesterday. Just me and one other guy.
That almost sounds like you are about to hit us with some religion, PPLP.

I surf a few places that have had attacks around here but the sharkiest “feeling” place I’ve surfed was Pelicans in Victoria.
swvic will know it.
And lighthouse near there also felt pretty dodgy paddling across the channel.
Haven’t surfed SA or WA though.
Yes. Did you ever surf Back Reef down Petetborough way? Sorta similar. Long paddle over deep water, heaps of activity. Plenty of spook (Spookys for eg.) in the area. Had a day at Pelicans I posted about a few years back. Still gives me the willys

I prefer at least one other car in the carpark.
And there's a big stretch I don't surf.

I'd still likely bleed out before the helicopter arrives because there's no mobile phone coverage.

Great to be alive. I look back with thanks that we didn't even have mobile* phones in our clueless thinking

*Excepting Control shoe phone technology. They were so so advanced

People wonder why I surf really crowded surf spots exclusively.

I don’t wonder about it but that’s not for me.
Swell kicked a bit this morn.
Beautiful rights all along the beach I went to.
Few people spread out along different sections.
Whales, dolphins, marvelous.

I got one of my favourite "secret" sandbars on today.

It's a wave in plain sight that loves these small, long period S swells.

Really hollow wedge with a wall, ,much more like a reef break.

Super precise positioning required for the take-off.

No one out.

And a lovely little left on a sandbar just north of A St.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Lovely solo surf for me also. Very straight but occasionally a good corner to be found, whip fast walls.

Went out on a local rock pile yesterday for a change and had a shit of a time. Exacerbated by everyone I walked past being very cheery and asking how I went when I got out. :x
Reluctantly went back out there today as Bondi is looking pretty much fcuked since they bulldozed sand into all the gutters.
Had a fun little surf and caught plenty of waves. No enquiries about how I went though

Nice little conditions. Water is still warmish. A few barrels for the young folk
