I was just wondering if any of you people have friends outside real surf. You may be real surfers on here but do you have real friends………………..Real people…………. you can touch and feel .
Its just a thought but im starting to worry bout some of ya. To tell you the truth a few of my mates know im on here and ive been severely reprimanded for it. On one occasion I didn’t surf because I was on here re educating a certain effeminate character. You don’t have to reply to this post if you feel that its too hurtful for ya.. I will understand.

I recently got fed up with paying people to be my friend, so I joined a club on the nothern beaches which gave me a whole knew bunch of likeminded people to befriend. MWHPATO is a wonderful organisation and may be worth considering if you are in need of friends.

Well there's Davo, shit, he's always good for a beer. An' Macca. Wot a laugh he is! Cracks me up he does. Wazza comes around a bit when the footy's on. I used to go out with his missus. He laughs about it now. Stevo's a full pisshead. Hates a beer that fella! Fitzy...well can ya say about Fitzy, eh? Charges the big stuff and fancies 'imself as a bit of a tooler. Brooko's always in their too. He's a good mate. Do anything for ya he would. And honest as the day is long. I tell ya, you'd trust 'im in the bath with ya missus. Dont see Thommo much anymore but thats just cos he's on the mines in WA. When I see im it's just like old times. We get bliiiind!

Yeah, I got heaps of mates KK. Plus there's Braddo and Craigo and Johnno and....

on topic, though backwoods, under educated Bush loving, Humvee driving, bible-thumping warmongers are the rule here in Carolina, I do have a small circle of like minded mates that I can share a wave and a laugh with. That being said, I get at least a good chuckle every time I come here.

My male urban tribe consists of:

X, Gordo, Gorgo, Herco, Mailos, Binnie, Pritch, Army, Windows, Conners, Lomax, Mud, Larco, Grazy, Fat-Dave, Trangie, Payniac, Nat, Hendo and G.

Mostly ex-newcastle uni.
Mostly all over 30.
Mostly not married.
Mostly don't surf.
All true-blue-aussie-good-blokes.

Its funny actually, how every now and then you bump into another 'tribe' of blokes, at the footy, on the train etc........... I often make the observation 'hey, they could easily BE my mates!'; yknow, the short funny one, the big dopey one, the athletic one, the brainy one, the grumpy one, the one getting picked on, the womaniser, the loner, the would-be property developer etc etc..........

Something in that for all of us i reckon.
