I guess that answers the question if Laird’s millennium wave was survivable.

Fucking jet ski towing in at my local.
Not that it's in my way.
Far too big for this little old black duck.

So.... 2' is head high?
Proof the "modern thinking" of wave size is just stupid wankery.

Hey Steve, I’m packing right now for Bendy.
Help, should I pack the 7’ step up? Or will it be quite a bit smaller down there?

Driving an hour down the road and need to ask someone 850kms away what to take, stay at home.

These 2 cnuts on a ski with a tow foil on the back tried to get through the evans bar on the king high and got forced all the way down the beach.
They spent 20-25 minutes getting pushed through the inside before they scrambled back through the walls and did the ski of shame home.

Lol ok slobbo.
It’s 2.5 hrs, and I’m not sure this swell is gonna make it that far south, looks like a downgrade.
But I packed the 7’ anyway. Where are you surfing on this swell?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Bendy missed misses the swell a bit, Wyre. If I’ve ever felt skunked over the years there. It’s always been on North Swells.

Yep, funnily enough Coastalwatch/ Surfline doesn’t usually dial it down to that extent. They just do incongruous stuff like having one beach at the end of the same stretch significantly smaller or bigger even though they are open to the same swell. Like Tama and Bronte vs Tama and Bondi. Potential big differences between Bondi and Tama but not Tama and Bronte.
It’s not very big here at the moment but there’s a lot of water moving around.

Surfline uses straight imperial for wave sizes, though you can opt for a surfer feet measurement.
As they say, head high is 5 feet because they are assuming the surfer has bent knees

Well that doesn't equate with their stated size in the above screen shot.
But that chart makes sense.

Incidentally it now reads 1' to 3'. Waist to head high.
