How much rocker does it have Trev?Trev wrote:There's someone in front of you but I'll put you NIL.saltman wrote:Trev

However, I think it's a keeper.
I bought a Wayne Lynch 7'6" years ago but it's got way to much rocker for easy entry.
Go to board is my 7'11" Carver.
Travel plus bigger and better board is 7' Carver Fish.
Got a 6'6" Fishcuit which I had a big run on for a while but rarely surf.
9'1" Rabbidge Mal is a Cadillac to ride. Faultless performance.
Had a 6'6" Dominator which was arguably the biggest dog I've ever owned.
On the look out for something in the 6'6" to 7' range to complement the Carver Fish plus replace it when it packs it in.

I've got a side on shot somewhere. I'll dig it up tomorrow and post.
Plenty of kick up in the nose section.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Quiver thread
Nah, I've always had the 6'6 Nugget, its my favourite board. Last year the 6'6 was my main board and the 6'8 Nugget my go to. The 6'8 I had with me last time with you was a 6'8 double ender: both 6'8s are gone now.marauding mullet wrote:I thought your small McCoy was 6'8"?
Haha. I was wondering when you would break! I'm going soon, you're welcome to come. Plus I have 3 more bookings early next year, with more to come (I've PM'd you the dates)marauding mullet wrote:When are you going to Bali? Things are looking a bit wobbly at work, plus I hate it lol.

Re: Quiver thread
Very fast but not so agile, but does have a real slingshot bottom turn. Its the antithesis of a McCoy Nugget. Its duck divable for me, which is good. Paddles into a wave easily. Don't know how big it will handle, the waves are more predictable in Indo, it may surprise me, but its good for the slow waves around Perth. I would prefer that it had a narrower, flipped nose and more tail rocker, but that would reduce its speed and wave catching ability, so meh! It may well be a keeper though.Beanpole wrote:How's the Tolhurst Cranky?

Re: Quiver thread
Yeah, my Fishcuit has basically no rocker. I'd be interested to try some of Jim Banks Fish.

Yeah, he's shaping and cutting his boards down to 1-2mm tolerance and reckons the currently evolution of concaves are the best ever; tying in with Nick's comments about the need for precision of same.Beanpole wrote:Yeah, my Fishcuit has basically no rocker. Oh...nah. Banksy has been living in a small village near Ulus for the last 6 years, its about 50m from where I've been staying, off and on, for the last 10 years or more. He's had a cafe, the Mango Tree, at Padang Padang for about 3 years. Good food.

Maybe his parents live there...dunno. It features in a lot of his videos where he talks about the models. Wouldn't mind pissing off to Bali myself to live for that matter.

From left to right
9'6 x 23 x 3 ECS log hardly surf it.
7'7 x 22 x 2.9 PCC Single fin. Love this. Bought it to commemorate the birth of my daughter Olive.
6'8 x 21 x 2 3/4 Miller waterskate. Transition board from learner mini mal. Sentimental favourite. Loads of professionally repaired dings. Still gets a run when my backs feeling dodgy and there's some duckdiving to be done.
6'2 x 20 x 2 5/8 Campbell Brothers Mini Merk bonzer5. 34th birthday present for myself.
6'2 x 20 1/2 x 2 9/16 Miller waterskate. Best board I've ever owned.
6'1 x ? PCC 1970 Single fin. Wife gave me this on our wedding day. Have surfed it a fair bit but don't surf it as much as I should. Sentimental favourite. Scared to ding it. Surfed a few waves at Pipe and Backdoor on this board, and got the biggest beating ever on it that day not duckdiving deep enough. Never forget it.
Got a few bodyboards too.

Got a 6'0 x 19 3/4 x 2 5/8 coming from PCC also. Closest I've had to a standard shortboard. I was going to wait for that board before taking the photo but knew if I did that I'd never get around to it.
