Re: Where did you surf today ?
Just keeping a tally. I seem to be about the only person in the water every day on here. Unless others are too cool to share and take umbrage at someone using the thread for what it was designed for.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I've had 4 days straight.
After yesterday's crazy lockdown crowds including a bunch of fucking SUPs at first light I decided not to go today but gave in to the lure.
Glad i did.
Much less crowded.
A bit smaller but goof fun.
Just me and a mate until a tame SUP arrived. Got a bit crowded after that but stayed manageable.
When I went in there was a crew of locals sitting at a picnic table.
Stopped to talk to them and about 1 minute later they all got up and walked away.
Then I saw the police vehicle driving into the carpark.
They drove through and up the hill and everyone came back.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Cops roamed the beach while I was out in the surf according to my missus. Hurried a couple of people on then walked up to the baths and saw how many people were up there. Shrugged their shoulders and walked off.

My infrequent and frankly low level surf sessions these days aren’t even worth the effort to share on here. I’m in a rut!

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Well I have to say my surfing regime is dependent on the philosophical approach. I’ve basically been averaging 4-5 days a week for the last seven or eight months. That’s pretty remarkable but there’s a hell of a lot of crap surfs in there. I reckon I’ve been averaging one or two really satisfying surfs a week and three or four with at least one wave that made me think it was worth it surf wise. Even if it’s shite it’s a bit of exercise and I’m riding a mal pretty much full time these days. Pretty fantastic run of weather overall. Hardly any rain for months and offshore most of the time.marauding mullet wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 8:29 pmMy infrequent and frankly low level surf sessions these days aren’t even worth the effort to share on here. Re: Where did you surf today ?
Day off yesterday. Went out this morning but it would be better now I reckon. Had to actually go and do something at the Junction. A bit too full earlier and a bit crowded but not too crowded. One pretty average one then dodged a few occupied waves then got a big wide one. Nice bowling peak that kept running down the beach before closing out after I had exited. Stoked. Got another okay one in and bolted.

Pretty good this morning. Tide causing it to be a bit fat at some spots but surprised myself at some good quality at a south facing spot, not particularly crowded either given Saturday was a zoo at the same spot. I would have thought if you don't have a NB's parking sticker, it's a pretty good indication you're more than 10kms from home.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yep, got some waves after high tide despite the onshore NNE making it a bit of a mess. Crowds were low where I was on NBs.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Took the gifted clubby rescue board out for it’s maiden voyage today. Water was like ice and the offshore wind was howling so didn’t last long but it was good fun picking up perfect little 2 footers from way out and zooming across the face. Toes are a bit sore from kneeling but I’ll wear reef booties next time.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
^ Fucking clubbies from Dicky beach paddle over to Moffats and proceed to paddle into waves from halfway to Cape Moreton. Same distance the SUPs come in from.
Screw them all.
You want to have priority, then get in here and sit in the lineup with the rest of us.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yep.
Longboards and shortboards fit in together.
Same wherever I've surfed.
Never actually seen the reported angst about paddling for waves between the two.
Not on the Goldie, not on Sydney's northern beaches, nor up here.
