Yeah it's nuts that section. Smaller than the outside sections but much more thick hollow for its size. Condensed and machined perfect little grinders.
Don't forget to check Abay either if the winds turn North .

Really sore back muscles today....whatever they are actually called. Did a bit of Pilates. Felt a bit better. Haven't done that much surfing in a while.....also sore ribs and chaffed nipples.

Weak peaky wind slop but the bank is still holding up really well. Wonder how long for though .
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Weak 2/3 on questionable banks the last couple of days. Ok no complaints.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
surfed the muzz bourton 6'2 quad at a north coast point break this morning, it just flew over float sections like it was on a mission.
lots of cornflake weed in the water, the new south swell has pushed it around the corner.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
i accidentally did some Derek Hynd hand jazz after a bottom turn the board took off so fast.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
I found quads too fast. An overkill at times. It put me off them in the end.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yeat quads are meh, 'specially with how hard it is to wipe some speed off so I don't end up on the bricks.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
That's it. Too much time spent washing off speed and cutting back because you've rocketed out past the pocket onto the shoulder.
You can take certain corrective and preemptive approaches like fading take offs or going a touch further out into the flats on bottom turns to wash off speed.
I'd rather the better accuracy of a thruster, staying tighter in the pocket, and spend more time surfing top to bottom, than cutting back.
Quads are pretty kick arse at belting like down the line though, beating down sections etc. and holding in hard in the face on late drops.
