Large swell now expected Good Friday.
Is the warmer than usual water charging up the potential?
Thinking 8-10 foot or not that big?

Definitely to the first question.
I'd say 6-8ft- but 10ft surf is well within the range of possibilities.
It will be a significant swell.

Hmm, maybe Scotch Egg is a pretty good option- cockblocked from south swell by South West Rocks, could bring the size down a bit and maybe have some beachies that handle it.
Maybe.

I remember some wheelchair xylophonist getting all macho about how he liked to smash absolutely heaps of Weetbix before a hard day's roofing

Never really seen Scott’s Head that good. Called in a few times over the years. Then again it was only after staying at Crescent for extend3d periods that I really got it perfect and got to know how it breaks in different swells.

Been thinking about getting a mid. I’m getting close to 60 and just don’t find my shortboards are doing me any favours. What do you think of the Emery twin mid? I’d be primarily looking to ride it on the reefs.

I guess a Shyama Buttonshaw could be worth a look as well.

Nick McAteer
actually, the one bad egg model from Phippsy in Point Lonsdale would be what I'd get if I was getting a new one.

If you get a chance, check out Shyamas website. You can have a meeting with him in his studio near Bells to discuss your board.

Nice looking boards.
I saw his prices at wildthings gallery in Byron and was a bit much for me.

I’d imagine they would be glassed beautifully though. He’s pretty artistic.

Ouch. Reckon I’d get a better price straight through him.
