Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yeah. Some horror stories out there.
The wife of a guy I surf with had one done two weeks after me
They’ve already put her back under and attached this machine which “prompts “ more angle of movement
135° is the target. I’m at 140°
She couldn’t get past about 95°.
And Al Hing who started Beachbeat surf shops and retired a couple of years ago is still struggling with his 6 months down the track.
I found an on line medical review site and my surgeon has over 50 five star reviews all saying the same thing I’m saying about minimal pain, faster than expected recovery time and praise for him and his staff.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Lots of nice little banks around the joint after that flat spell.
Hopefully get some nice small to medium swells for a while.

I ventured down for the first time in ages and it was unsurfable had a quick swim and bodysurf instead. It was just nice to be in the water and taste the salt and feel the sand on my feet.

County Line North Santa Cruz.
It was surprisingly solid, head and a half with heaving barrels. Not what I was expecting so my single fin egg was not the board of choice.
Got into one that was a bent arm overhead, made it out of none. Traveled a little then out through the front. Pitched on a few more and got in a nice backhand top turn on another.

Did you get a tsunami warning boo?
Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yeah but it was automatic. No real risk due to the type of quake.
Was pretty wobbly for a few seconds though, it was a big one. Long period, so my chair rolled back and forth a bit.
The Google alerts are pretty amazing, they got to me a few minutes before the USGS emergency alerts, and 20s before the actual quake started.

Yeah it was a 7.0.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
When I looked at lunch there had already been 22 aftershocks, most in the 3 to 4 range.
Apparently there's now a 5% chance the San Andreas fault will go in the next month. my geologist colleague said that's bullshit.

He said there's no impact.
He thought it was was a thrust fault not a slip fault.
It was also on a different plate boundary.

Boat ramps at Pacifica, mainly a surf lesson with the youngster. Tried out a big boy shortboard as a step down from a minimal. It didn't go great, but they stuck with it even after getting worked a few times in 12 degree water.
Looking forward to some warm baby food waves in Mexico in a couple of weeks.

Nah. Mainly going to snorkel with whale sharks in La Paz but will spend a few days near Todos Santos (not that one).
But I started a work project at Zicatela, to investigate the sand movement.
