100% smaller than Melbourne, that barrel wave is not surfable backside.

If you lived in the blue mountains or penrith etc. you’d probably be pretty stoked with it. But you ain’t traveling from the northern beaches to surf that.

Gunna be interesting to see how it goes.
They need repeat custom.
$160/hr for barrels, $130/hr for advanced turns.
How many people will regularly drop $290 for 2 hrs of surfing?
That seems absolutely nutty to me.

Far out. Didn’t know it was that much. Not sure how many people out that way have that sort of disposable at hand.
Re: Just general surfing stuff
Why they charging so much more?
Re: Just general surfing stuff
I wouldn’t pay over $100 a sesh.

Exactly.
I’ll go have a look this arvo as I’m out at Homebush for something else but don’t have a lot of desire to have a crack.

Melbourne is the perfect location, close to an airport plus a surfing population without easy access to the ocean.steve shearer wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 10:50 amGunna be interesting to see how it goes.

Brisbane might be good as well.
I just don’t understand who the Sydney customer base is.

Assume they go 1 day/week. Where the demand for the other 6 days coming from?steve shearer wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 12:25 pmWestern Sydney surfers saving money on expensive mortgages by living away from the coast?
And I just don't think there's that many of them.

I was planning on it Iggs.
Son is super keen- to be honest, the cost is a major deterrent now for something that looks smaller and weaker than Tullamarine.
Be over a thousand for both of us for a 2hr hit.

Yeah, thats the only way it makes sense.
Or we catch the Jetstar in the morning, come home on the arvo flight, take a packed lunch and I don't surf it.
That's probably a $500-600/day.
