Fast.

That’s a fairly shallow, fast wave, so a few late-ish drops. The Ghost just cruised in then seemed to take off. I found myself with too much speed sometimes and outran the wave. I eventually worked out I needed to straighten out the drop then lean into a bottom turn and off I went. I’m predominantly a front foot surfer and the board seems to like that. Maybe the extra foam up front (I’m no expert on board technicalities). With the extra length it’s definitely a cruiser. No throwing it around. Nice clean drawn out turns seemed to be its sweet spot.

I’ll asterisk all this by saying I’m just an average joe surfer these days. But I had fun, got plenty of waves, and that’s all I give a shit about to be honest.

Good stuff, ba.
I had a bash this morning. A bit early for the bank but I scored quite a few before anyone really got onto it. Plenty of kids on foamies floating around but not many people in the water. Guess they all went away. Promenade was packed though with Westies.

I actually got a heat which was favoured by the tide today.
A bit above half tide and incoming.
Semi final tomorrow just after low. 🤬

Solo on the secret sandbar again.

Took out the 5'10" Bonzer Octafish.

Headlands reef at waist to chest high breaking shin deep over the reef. Small but punchy and clean. Then Stanwell park at chest high plus, left and right peak split down the middle.
