The first board I bought for my son when he was a little tacker was a little second hand MR, turns out it was his son’s board.

The whole suburb of Warilla is locked down. Some Ming Mong is on the loose running around the streets with a gun. Cops everywhere, Chopper flying overhead.
Some decent surf nearby. Easy 5 foot sets on the outer bar of North Windang. Just got in. Some long walls. easy hundred metres on a couple of them, and fairly clean.
About to head south but will have to go north then west of the lake to head south. looks like The Warilla gorilla is in hiding, and probably hours before the southbound traffic is flowing again

One guy out getting a flogging at Bronte. There was two out this morning. Heaps of kids hanging onto the ropes at the pool. Really solid. Must have been two or three feet.

Recent swell and storms haven’t done the banks any favours at Bondi.

Super microsurf on the foamy. If you waited long enough a perfect little peeler would come through.

Bit of an update- mates of mine in Windang found out the guy was ex-Army with major PTSD, got triggered by the F-18's that went flying over that day. Apparently known and well-liked by both the police and community.Hatchnam wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 12:37 pmThe whole suburb of Warilla is locked down. Wings over Illawara airshow was on that weekend
Re: Where did you surf today ?
A mate, in his hippy period, used to camp out in the bush in Northern NSW. The F-18 pilots used to like to do a screaming low dip over their night time campfires. It would get the adrenalin pumping.
Re: Where did you surf today ?
For a couple of years when I was a kid I thought fighter pilots were cool. Adolf Galland was one of my favourites to read about. I liked the story of how he came to flying via gliding, and how he became friends with Tuck and Bader. Seemed like a real gallant type. I think his Messerschmitt 109e from the Battle of Britain was one of the first model planes I ever made. I lost interest in that stuff a long time ago and don't know whether the RAAF has pilots in that mould today. Probably hard for anyone to resist a bit of hooning in a Hornet I suppose, buzzing a bunch of North Coast hippies by their campfire to keep them on their toes.

First time I went to Seal Rocks in the 70s we drove down the hill and there was a naval sub just off the beach.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I was sitting on Fingal Head watching some eagle rays play in the surf with Mrs Boo many years ago when we got buzzed by three F-1-11s. They were really low, seemed like about 100m but was probably 300.
A couple of days later I saw on the news that 3 RAAF pilots had been suspended for flying dangerously in a populated area.
