well I was at Bells this arvo and it was about 3-4', howling offshore, high tide Rincon-ish and about four hundred people out. Some of the worst surfing I've ever seen. Winki was bigger but still just a flat wall with foam roller sections, only about 300 out there. I watched but couldn't go out, like imagine surfing Snapper's crowd, but the water is 13 degrees and it's flat faced in a 25knot offshore.

Was thinking about those.....possibly exaggerated.......numbers. If we take them as real and you say everyone is on a surfboard that costs between say $300 and $800........and a wetsuit that costs conservatively say $200. You've got an industry right there.

was below sea level drainers at one of the local points this morning. Crowd to begin with : zero. Topped out at four people.

Man, I thought the Goldy must have been pumping this morning.

This is turning out to be a king June.

Just saw Swellnet gave it a 4/10 rating. Thats delightful.

there were waves so thick you couldn't paddle into them. I got seriously worried about breaking my neck.

i didn't surf this morning, too much on and have a cold and as the day dragged on felt more and more like a premium bag of shit. i went to my little bank i've been surfing to have a bo-peep & get away from the laptop this arvy ... and man, oh man. it was twist & twirl your moustache-ends good. some peaks, some sucking dry, some walling up for 80 odd metres ... all of them thick and throaty.

weird all the forecast sites calling it 2-foot se swell head to magnets for more size etc ... when in reality it's angling in from the ENE in just thick peaks.

king june, alright... i'm in love.
