Re: Winter Guns... Wherefore art thou ..?
Volume has become a bit of a touchstone for surfers, in the sense that you find the "correct" volume for how you surf and then you stick with that, through shortboards, guns etc etc. I've always called total bullshitt on that .....you want a range of volumes in your quiver depending on what conditi...

Re: General snow stuff
oops just re read - back to japan. Get yourself a rockered board for the pow for sure! Never Summer Proto or SL would be my pic for a japan all rounder (or an EVO and a dedicated pow board). There's an Aussie company called catalyst that hand make custom boards too with a variety of rocker/camber op...

Re: General snow stuff
did you decided where you're going yet? I've lived in Fernie, Whistler and Big White. Whister is sick because of it's size, but you miss some of the quaint Canadian charm. Big White is great for kids but if you're advanced you'll be bored after a week there, and there's nothing to do besides ski and...

"surfer in red takes off, off the bottom, off the top, off the bottom, nice change up, off the bottom, off the top, off the bottom, kicks out"

Re: JBay.
in yr face. The American commentators are absolutely useless. One called Matt Wilkinson's first wave "just an average score" and the judges gave it 8.60. They are so biased for KS it's not funny. Agreed. wilko tears the bag out of one and they don't get excited, next wave slater does a bogged turn ...

Bugger. I put one in the cart this morning and it showed as $10 postage but wouldn't actually update once my address was in without me putting in the credit card details. $70 is too much. Will do it next year I guess. keep your eyes on it if you're looking to buy. you see ridiculous deals come up e...

My e-bomb has stretchy neopreneless not quite holes galore, a cable tie for the main zip and the key pocket fell apart within days. I'm going to try and wait until next year if I can because debt but thanks for the whisky militia link, I'll sign up and check it out. At $100 I might have to think ab...

Indo board tax
I've never been lumped with it, as have always had only 3 boards. - Is it regularly policed flying into denpasar? - is it $100 lump sum for over 3 boards or $100 per board for every board over - If you have 2 travellers sharing a bag, is that a valid excuse for having 5 boards I was planning on taki...

Re: Tomo Surfboards
I don't know CC, with due respect I observed the opposite watching Dan surf at the Point lately, and Stu Kennedy. the arcs look short and ineffectual to me, they don't carry out to the shoulder for a proper sweeping roundhouse..which has to be the foundation for all good pointbreak surfing. I think...
